Default Durango Issues with video.

So my Durango has two issues as of right now. The first one is that my check engine light is on but when i try to cycle the key three times to get codes none come up and it just says P DONE. Now I know that cycling the key 3 times does work cause I have done it before on the truck.

My second problem the steering wheel makes this clicking or clunking sound and I have not been able to figure out why, there is nothing in the way that I see of.
Here is the video.

Do all of your controls work on the steering wheel?

PDONE, is the finished reading codes signal.Nothing logged or memory erased or finished the reading process when you see it...

Do all of your controls work on the steering wheel?
creeepy noise, along with if everything works, You gotta be able to feel that right? If you have someone there with you
pop the hood and look at the column where it comes out the firewall, have them move the whell and watch the column, then look under at the steering components
and do the same. With a noise that loud it'll prolly show itself...

i definitely agree with the steering shaft suggestion

as for the CEL, some codes are thrown as 'ghost' codes, they trip the light, but have to trip more times than that in order to store a code that can be retrieved w/ the keydance trick, a code reader will usually read them (for example, when my cel last went off i had one code for an evap leak stored with the keydance, but when i hooked up our code reader i got 3, all of them evap codes)

my suggestion is to disconnect the battery and reset the PCM to clear the CEL and see if it comes back on

I got the same things going on with my 99, steering shaft at the u joints. EBay seems to be as cheap as I could find.
