1999 power steering question
just replaced the steering gearbox on my 99 durango and it came with 2 o-rings. it says to use the o-ring on the pressure hose but i dont know which hose that is, plus, i dont remember which hose goes to which port on the gearbox, but they appear to be diff sizes so can only go in one port. is that correct? where can i find a ps diagram for this truck and which hose gets the o-ring? thanks

there is a 98durango FSM in the FAQ thread link i would download that and look under steering for the answer.

I think the smaller hose is the pressure line. Just pull the coil wire and put the hoses in a bucket and have someone turn it over The pressure line will flow. Besides, you want to change out all the fluid anyway.
Then go to your dealer with you VIN# and get the correct fluid to go back in it. I think yours should be a special Brown fluid but only a dealer can tell you for sure.
