Default I need ino for our Shelby Durango SP360 #0038

Hello.

I an helping my mechanic with their Shelby Dodge Durango SP360 #0038, that came with 4WD + Supercharger, and is a one owner car in Oregon.

In researching the car, I was reading posts by shelbysp360#74 and IndyDurango, and was impressed with their knowledge of the car.

The information that I am really after, is one a registry for the SP360, to see how many were Supercharged, and/or 4WD, as well as a total production number. According to Hemmings, just under 200 were completed out of an intended production run of 3,000. In my research, I have only found up to #185 as the highest number.

The second, is who built the car? Was it Race Truck Trends, Star Coach, possibly Performance West (suggested by a Shelby rep, but they had little to no info on the car as well), or any other builders? Who built the SP360s for Dodge/Shelby, and who built this one? And I know that they were one year only, 1999.

And any other pre-dealer history on this car would be great as well.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, and I look forward to hearing from you.

I've been researching this car as best as I can, but still am limited in my knowledge of this car, and I need to learn more.

Please feel free to contact me at axordonez@aol.com or (503) 784-0625 with any information you may have on this car.

Thank you.

Here's a short writeup I found for it. Dunno if it'll help or not.

Nice D's the shelby's were. I would love to do the back bench seat to bucket conversion, scratch that I would love to have one. PM IndyDurango, they have been tracking them and getting as much info as possible over on the D.O.C Forum (Durango owners club) and have much knowledge on the subject.

Thank you Adukart and Brhodes for helping. I appreciate it.

And yes, I have read many articles online.

But except for a few new facts here and there, they pretty much say the same things, except...
1) 360hp 5.9 Supercharged, but what is the torque?
2) is SP360 named for 5.9 Supercharged HP-when not all SP360s were Supercharged. Or was it for the 5.9liter/360C.I. motor?
3) of the 3,000 units intended, how many were actualy produced. From much research, I am beginning to lean towards under 200 cars as Hemmings stated in their article, with the highest number I've seen so far at #0187, but I can't get a more accurate number.
4) of "this" number, how many were 2WD/nonSC, 2WD/SC, 4WD/nonSC, 4WD/SC.
5) Who actually built them? Star Coach, Race Truck Trendz, Performance West, and/or anyone else? And who built number #0038?
6) Was there a brouchure, ad, or something in late 1998/1999 to announce to normal customers that the SP360 was coming?

My next step for now is as you say, contact the D.O.C. club. Thank you.

Torque is 412 foot-pounds at peak.

And I'm pretty sure the "360" part of the name is the horsepower output. It was rated at 360 peak HP, with the supercharger. Don't know if this is fact, but it seems the most likely case.

The rest of your questions...I have no clue

pm indydurango, he is building a registry and most likely knows most of the information that you are asking for.
