Default 2001 durango 5.9L idle issues, low rpms stuttering, stalling

Hello everyone!

I've been reading about my problem on these forums and still have to fixed it.
My durango 5.9 idles low acting like it want to cut off, It has sometimes. rpms are below 500, Everything seems to work good when I have my foot on the gas, when at red lights I have to hold the break and the gas at the same time, keeping the rpms at 1k. If I do nothing, then try to go the truck wont, it will putt, studder, I take my foot of the gas then try again with the same problem, I have to put it in neutral then warm it up to high rpms and then put in drive to drive off.

What I've done:
Change the battery with a new one.
Replace the IAC
Replace the TPS
Clean the throttle body

I'm only getting a O2 error code 0037, I've had this error code from day one. own the truck for 6 years.

What am I missing? What else could I do?

Thank you for your time and the help!

Have the battery tested under load.

Also, moderator... move this to the Gen1 section.

Sorry for posting in the wrong section. Don't know why I thought a 01 is a 2ed gen.

When checking the battery under load what should it be 14v?

the battery is brand new, I've changed it due to this problem I'm having.

Any other ideals what could be causing this?

Thank you all again for the help.

make sure the battery co nnections are nice and tight and that there is no corrosion in the battery cables, iv seen it happen and the results tend to be similar to a dead battery.

Is anyone missing the point that the code is for a bad O2 sensor?!

P0037 HO2S Heater Ctrl Circ Low Bank1 Sens2
Replace the downstream O2 sensor (Post-CAT) and call it a day. Use only a MOPAR O2 sensor or you'll be in the same boat as before. The reason it seems like it is bogging down and about to die when you have your foot off the gas is you are probably running extremely lean and the air/fuel ratio is way off and it's not able to run on it's own power.

I had one of my battery terminals get loose the other day which caused low revs and stalling if I didn't keep my foot on the gas. It threw an O2 sensor code (can't remember the exact one), but it went away after I tightened the terminal, which solved the problem, and hasn't come back.

I am not in any way trying to say that you are wrong or that his O2 sensor is not the problem, but it is possible that it is fine. I would clean the corrosion off of the battery terminals and the wires (and possibly replace the terminals) before buying a new O2 sensor since terminals are a lot cheaper that O2 sensors, and are, in my opinion, a lot easier to replace than O2 sensors.

True that. Always try the easiest and cheapest route before you tackle a repair!

A vehicle brand new battery should be at 12.7 volts DC when fully charged. Anything under 12 volts will give you a stumble at low voltage situations like idle and that of a bad alternator. Marine batteries are at around 13.2 volts, but should not be used for vehicles.

I replaced the downstream 0-2 sensor. I also had a failure of the Four-Wheel drive system. And it turned out to be a Positive Battery Terminal with a lot of corrosion on it. My Durango runs fine now. I kinda doubt that the P0037 code applied in the first place, seeing how after I fully cleaned the Positive Battery Terminal.....I got back my Four-Wheel drive Indicator lights, Four-Wheel drive and my Durango stopped bucking and Backfiring. This all occured because of a dead battery at -15 degrees below zero and a Positive Battery Terminal that had a lot of corrosion on it. Hope my response helps someone
