Default misfire and oil consumption

high i have a 98 d with a 5.2 getting multiple missfires on 158 and cam/crank sensor code also lots of oil consumtion havent noticed any smoke or leaks well a little on start up for like the first 2 sec and not alot either but im not behind it goin down the road new plugs havent changed the wires yet everything was fine the other day then bam ligh comes on so i was wonderin wires or cam sensor or is it the crank and what of the oil use belly pan maybe>also has been backfiring trough the intake still has power when its not missing

it will be your intake causing the oil consumption which will also case your plugs to foul! Under the intake is a steel plate with a weak gasket that blows out! On ebay you can order an aluminum plate for $50.00 Delivered to your door and from your auto parts store get the gaskets! replace them and you oil consumption will disappear and you will have alot more power!

+1 on the intake, that was what was wrong with mine. About 2" of the gasket was missing.
