How to disable / remove pass airbag
Hi Guys
I have a 2002 durango, and I'm needing to remove the dash to access the defrost door cause the linkage has came off and I no longer have hot air to the windshield. I believe there are a couple of screws behind the passenger side airbag. I'm needing to remove the airbag to get to these screws, but I don't want to damage it and, I don't want to trigger it, so does anybody know the procedure for disabling and removing the airbag.
Thanks
bob

Bob, you have to remove the glovebox. There are two bolts on the face, behind the glove box and two under the dash. The top is held in by push in retainers. Use a suitable tool or your fingers to work from the side nearest the radio toward the passenger door. REMEMBER to disconnect the battery first and do not attempt to remove the air bag for at least five minutes after disconnecting the battery. Severe injury or death can occur from mishandling the air bag.
