Angry Idle really low

My durango 2001 4.7l Started to quit on me at every stop light . It does start but when i take my foot off of gas it stops. Does any one know what can be the problem. I love my durango but its been breaking down every month with a different problem .

It most likely the battery. Check to make sure the terminals aren't corroded and the same for the wires where they go into the terminals. You may also want to have your battery load tested.

OP, Most likely a bad/failing battery. Low idle stumble equals dead battery.

Use the search function to find this mentioned 1000 times with the next likely culprit being TPS, IAC, etc.

Angry I just had a new battery

I y replaced the battery few weeks ago so i dont think its the battery. Whats the next step?

throttle position sensor and Idle Air Control there both on the throttle body

chances are your terminals aren't making good contact with the battery. Check to make sure they're tight and don't have corrosion on them. I'm guessing it started having problems after you changed the battery

definitely check for good tight and clean connection at the battery.

also IAC is the idle air control (valve or motor) its on the back of the tb
and TPS is throttle position sensor, its mounted on the side of the tb

IAC is the more likely of the two IME
