Idle problems

Angry Idle problems

Heres what happened i tryed to back up into a driveway and my car kept stopping The idle seemed like it was really low when i took my foot off of gas pedal my car would completly stop I checked the battery cables and they are tight and clean just replaced the battery less than one month ago. Can anyone give me advise on what it can really be? what is the next item should i check out.. Thanks oh i have a 2001 dodge durango 4.7 L slt

When was the last time a tune up was done? Does it only stall when in reverse? Any check engine light? Try cleaning the intake components. Other than that I would try changing the TPS and see if you have any luck there.

It could be the iac but id double check the battery if I were you. Male sure there isnt corrosion on the wire where the terminal clamps onto it. There have been lots of people having issues with the battery now that it's getting cooler outside

i agree with checking cable quality, then move on to the IAC

I would just pull the TB off and clean it out really good first. Then move on after that. Don't forget to reset the PCM each time you mess with it.

Okay what kind of cost am i looking here to change the IAC? also the tpc ? I haven't found a really honest auto repair shop..

they are easy enough just change them yourself under $100 for the two sensors
