Default Unknown part

Ok guys, I have a 2001 durango. In the engine compartment on the passenger side alomost against the firewall there is a part I think has something to do with the rear heating controls. The top line from the heater core comes out of the core, accross the firewal to a Y. This Y accepts the hose from the heater core and one line that comes from down under and behind the front passenger tire. The line then goes on to connect the unknown part. It is this part I am trying to find out what it is along with the names of the lines. Anybody have any idea what the part is or where I can get it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's a coolant pump for the heater.

I did some checking and it is an auxillary coolant pump. The problem is upon further inspection I don't believe the problem is the pump. The line going from the pump that splits to the heater core and down underneath the vehicle looks as though it has been rubbing on a nearby bracket and is leaking. The problem is I mention the pump and everyone knows what that is but the minute I say I need the lines I get just dumb founded looks. Any ideas where I can locate the hoses for this? I've tried the local dodge dealership and they sent me to the GM dealership. I was thinking about trying another dodge dealer in a nearby town.

if you're referring to the hose, my local dealer had it for $70: its part number 55056060AC, Hose-Supp 0286E, see pix. Doesn't seem to be any aftermarket version.

You could always cut the section that is leaking out and replace it with some brass pipe and use hose clamps on both sides. Cheap easy fix.
