Power Door Lock Relays won't "Lock" below 30 degrees.
2000 Durango, 4.7L, SLT:
I had this problem for two years. Doors will not "Lock" when outside temp falls below 30 degrees. Problem is same using door panel switches or remote. The "Unlock" function works OK, but the "Lock" function stops working. I do hear a relay "Click" when using the door panel switch or remote. This "Click" is coming from the passenger side kick panels area, so I know that the door panel switches are working.
Not sure if my vehicle is "Highline" or not? I hope the problem may be a smaller, less costly module rather than the CTM? There are no other Electrical problems.
Thanks in advance for your help!

my guess is there might be moisture in the mechanism somewhere since the temp you say it stops working at is so close to freezing. Since you have keyless entry you have the highline ctm, but I am almost positive that isn't your problem
i agree it sounds more like a lubrication/moisture problem than a ctm problem to me, you will have to open up the doors and watch and see what is happening while its acting up (i know it sucks to work in the cold like that, but its the only way i know of to investigate further)

I dealt with my drivers door refusing to unlock in cold weather. Finally broke down and took it apart and found that the grease was thick enough to congeal in cold weather preventing things from moving far enough to unlock. I cleaned everything out with rags & thinner first, then re-lubed with a graphite based lube. Problem solved!
