Exclamation Bull Bar Install

Hey guys me and my buddy are trying to figure out how to install a bull bar on his durango and cant figure it out......didnt come with instructions and cannot get in contact with the person i got it from. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I do believe that you must cut holes in the plastic splash shield, then come up from the bottom in between the radiator and bumper to mount it to the frame. I believe you might have to undo the bumper bolts so you can use the same holes for the bull bar.

Every bull bar or grill guard I've ever installed mount to either tow hook holes (if so equipped) or the holes in the frame where the bumper mounts to it - usually using longer bolts...

Thanks guys for the responses, we got it on but yeah we came across the problem of how the bumper is in the way of having the bull bar sit perpendicular to the ground perfectly so were gonna have to cut some

That's pretty common, right in the directions for installing my Warn grill guard they showed you had to cut two slots in the bumper...

Yea that's a little ridiculous, you think they would just make the brackets a liiiiiittle longer so you wouldn't run into this problem

will the bull bar from a 2nd generation durango(04) fit a 3rd generation dakota(06)? will there be any modifications needed. thanks

Different part numbers, probably will not fit.
