Default Doors locking by itself - HELP

Hi Guys,

I have a problem with the doors locking randomly either with the engine running and with the power off on a Export Durango 2001 SLT.

I was investigating and seems to me I have a bad CTM module.

I also checked the TSB 08-023-03 but this Durango doesn´t have lock cylinder switches. I assume because is an export SUV.

I disconnected C2 connector of the CTM where the lock and unlock signal cables arrives and after that I still ear the lock relay clicking inside the CTM.

I don't have the others symptoms of a bad CTM and that's makes me doubt.

What do tou think? I will appreciate your comments.

if the lock relay in the CTM is clicking then either it is getting a signal from the remote locks, or the drivers lock switch, or it is bad

i assume it does it even with all the remotes out of range, so at this point i would pull the front door control panels and unplug them, if it keeps going its the CTM thats bad, if it stops then one of the door switches is the culprit.

I did that already and the relay didn't stop.

Thanks.

Get the other key FOB and move the old one to a closet or something and take your truck for a drive, if it stops it's the FOB.

TSB 08-023-03 is indeed the likely solution.

Of course you have lock cylinder switches. If you have power locks, you have lock cylinder switches and as far as I know all Gen1 Durangos came with power locks and windows.

TSB 08-023-03 Applies to vehicles equipped with vehicle theft security system (sales code LSA).

I double check the door cylinders and they don´t have cylinder switches. First I thought they were removed by the last owner but I couldn't find any wire inside the door. I assume I don´t have lock cylinder switches because is not equipped with vehicle theft security system.

Most likely a bad master door switch or a bad CTM.
