Help! Freaking out after using Seafoam!
if the plus are fouled up badly enough new plugs will fix the problem, w/o seeing the plugs myself i couldnt say for sure, however now is as good a time as any for a full tune up if it hasnt been done recently (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, brass contacts of course) just to make sure you get everything back to where it belongs.
however higher octane gas to top it off wouldnt hurt anything either, how much gas was in the tank when you added the seafoam?

So today I'll get some spark plugs and O2 sensors from the dealer. I am just SO relieved it is not something major. Im sure this question has been asked b4 a million times but why we are on the subject...what Spark Plugs do you reccomend for the D Shrp?
Use the cheap champion copper plugs, that is the OEM. Higher octane will can with stand a higher temperature environment that the fuel is in before ignition. So any hot spots in the combustion chamber or piston won't ignite the fuel as easily. It also carries more energy in it. Knocking is caused when you have two ignition sources. They both ignite the fuel in different areas then the reaction collides. Since your spark plugs are weak the second source is getting a chance to ignite the fuel also. Hope this answers some questions.

Everyone here usually recommends the Champion copper plugs, so I'd go with those.
For the higher octane gas, if its knocking, sometimes that it caused when the gas ignites to soon, higher octane gas won't do that.
Editing, forget what I said about the sea foam and the gas...

Ok thanks for the replies! So one more dumb question... If I have 1/2 tank of 87octane is it ok of I mix it with a higher octane gas like 92? Or do I have to wait for the 87 octane has to be gone first? Or could I just buy a bottle of octane booster instead?
higher octane wont gain you any power
however it will get rid of engine knock
dom: you can put the higher octane into the tank whenever, it will mix w/ what is in there and the octane rating of the tank will be somewhere in between the two, will still raise it some (i wouldnt put less than 1/2 a tank in it myself, but you can)
yes champion copper core plugs, make sure they are gapped to .040
