Lol 56 mph. You'd be surprised how good ur fuel milage can be if u keep up on maintenance including tire pressure, fluids in the diffs, and just keeping everything greased. My buddy has the same exact durango as mine except black and his only has about 102,000 miles on it and it rides and just overall feels like an old demo car. Mine feels brand new still.

the overhead reading doesnt count, it is ALWAYS wrong, and it usually reads higher than reality.

example, my overhead reads as high as 22 cruising on the highway, in reality when i calced it out by hand i got 19.8, it was ALL highway on a nice day and without traffic.

i have the 4.7 and part time 4x4, which each on their own is advantage (efficiency wise) over the R/T since it has AWD and the larger engine.

(i keep up w/ the maintenance obsessively)

Ya I'm gonna calculate mine out when I fill her up next with a good mixture of 70% highway and 30% city. I'm very particular with maintenance. My parents have an 06 durango with the 4.7. Motor was fried at 93000

jeez, if they managed to kill a 4.7 in 93k they must have really neglected it badly

Nope they bought it brand new did oil changes with full synthetic at the dodge dealership every 3000. One day the oil light came on about 1.5 miles from home and we took it easy got it home and the next day took it to the dealership with a tow truck and they told us the top end was fried. Appearantly they had a recall on the secondary timing chain and we hadn't got the letter yet and they replaced the motor for free
