Default rattling noise coming from valve cover

99 durango 5.2 4X2. I have a rattling noise coming from the front of the valve cover on the passenger side. It seems to stop once the engine has warmed up a little. Any ideas what this could be?

Check your pcv valve. I replaced mine when it was rattling, you could hear and feel it rattling if you put your finger on the top. Plus its only a $3 part.

Yes it is the pcv valve. I replaced it a few weeks ago. It wasn't rattling before. Guess I got a bad one.

It is supposed to rattle!

The reason your old one didn't was because it was gummed up and bad!
