Default Weird stalling issue.

So today i went out started my rango and let it warm up for about 10 mins, like i do every morning when its cold..

It was fine when i left my house, i got to the store about a km or 2 away, shut the truck off, went in and when i came back out i started it and noticed my idle was a little low. Gave it a little rev up to about 1500rpm, then it dropped to a bout 800rpm and fell to 0. started it up same thing expect this time it would idle at all.

I kept a little throttle open when putting it in gear so it would stay running and it would go, stalled bout a block away when i was a red light, started up no problem and its been fine sense..

I took it on a little drive, let it idle, and now its fine..

I just wanna know what the problem is before it gets worse or leaves me stranded.

Any input or advise would be great!
Thanks!

my guess would the IAC motor, however engine size would help to confirm that (could also be a battery getting weak)

ill let my rant about excessive idling go for now

like shrp mentioned check your battery to see how old it is and also check the battery terminals for loose connections and/or corrosion. Poor battery connections (and battery) can cause all kinds of issues along those lines and it's a very simple thing to fix if it is the issue.

I would agree with the weak battery. Other than that it could be the IAC, TPS, gunk on in throttle body, or even a small leak but since it isnt doing it now it could be the battery. See what it does when you turn some accessories or what happens when it stalls.

Does it have an erratic idle all the time? or is it just the low idle once every blue moon followed by a stall?
