Thumbs up Speakers for the Durango - On sale at Amazon

Just checked Crutchfield.com and they have these same speakers for $99 a pair, Amazon has them for $55 a pair. Anyone used these by chance?

That link does not contain a referral code or anything like that btw, just passing along the deal to anyone needing to replace them also.

I haven't used them personally, but a friend of mine has. He ordered the 6032si ones first, but they didn't sound very good (crappy bass and lows) because the si ones are shallow depth. He exchanged them for the 6032cf ones and they sound much better because they are normal depth.

Amazon has the 6032cf ones and they're a few bucks cheaper even

Very interesting! And with the depth, there's no issues with the windows I take it when rolled down? I will look into those, reviews on the si's also pointed out the lack of the lower end.

Thanks for the tip and link!

they should fit fine because they're pretty much the same depth as the oem ones

I would not recommend the shallow infinity's unless you don't mind losing some bass. I have the older 6012i line on mine. I almost bought the shallow ones until I found out about the bass loss.

As long as you retain the OEM speaker ring, you can install the normal depth speaker without any issues. I did a write up on repairing the oem speakers in this forum so you can see the speaker ring I am referring to.

Ok so even though Crutchfield has a "Does Not Fit" message for the fronts for the 6032cf's, you guys say they will work out? It says they fit in the rear doors, but only the shallows fit the front. I trust you guys' personal experience more than them, just wanting to make sure before I order. I do want the lower end.

Kensai, that company with the rings has stopped their business for whatever reason, although their old and new website are up. Maybe they are moving. There was a mention of that on the old site.

I would personally run these:
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...4XL-65-92.html
With a 4CH 400w amp, in fact this is what I am going to do come this summer when I change out my whole sound system! Along with 2 12's, and a touch screen head unit...but thats just me

Those may not sound good with Durango's factory Infinity setup. They are 4 ohm... our setup is 2 ohm.

I am using the Dual (All Rights Reserved) Speakers from Advance Auto Parts. 25 bucks for 2 of them, and they sound GREAT in my truck (whenever my stereo is working) Depth works great too!
