Default 2002 Dodge Durango Headlight issue

Hello,
I really need help! Please be advised this is my first post. So yes I am a newbie.
I have a 2002 Dodge Durango. Recently just blew the timing chain and hence the engine. So after some $$$ later, it has a used engine with 40000 miles on it. She seems to be running fine.
However there is one issue I can not figure out. The headlights.....
The Daytime running lights work, the high beams work, the right side regular lights work. The left does not. And no it is not the bulb. I tried this.
After doing some research it seems likely to be the Power Distribution Center. This is expensive and I don't have the money for this. The rest of the electrical seems fine. Has anyone else experience this problem before is their a cheaper easier fix than the whole PDC?
I was thinking of running a wire from the working light to have the two in line but figured this might be hard on the wiring and eventual wear something else out.
Please I am at your mercy
Greg

Take a test light and check the socket to see if you have power there, if not switch it with the one from the drivers side and see if that fixes it.

i would try swapping the bulb to see if it is a problem with the bulb (i have seen new in box bulbs be bad) or with the harness, it is likely as simple as a bad bulb or harness and will be rather simple to replace once you determine where the problem lies (electrical is one of those things that is just very difficult to assist with over the internet, however there are wiring diagrams available for your year truck in the FAQ thread at the top of this section)

Agree with the guys above. Check to see if it could be the light first, then check the socket for power and the go to the wiring. I had a tail light problem and i replaced the bulb and the socket and finally found out it was just the ground/contact point that had melted the plastic and all i had to do was pop it back out.

The PDC does not control the headlights, the CTM does.

Most likely it is a bad wire or bad ground. Check the connections at the head light and test the wires at the harness, then back test to see if there is a bad wire.

Thanks, I will try it. I have changed the bulbs a few times and it is not the bulbs. But I will check the harness.
Thanks
