I was just reading today about the GE Nighthawk PLATINUM Bulbs on Amazon.

There was more than one comment about the Sliverstars having a short life span and that these GE don't have as short a life.

Anyone else out there that are familiar with them?

I've heard lots of good things about the phillips xtreme power bulbs and I'm going to give those I try when my silverstar ultras go out. I am happy with the silverstar ultras but if theyre not going to last very long I'm not going to keep buying them. (i've had mine since june)

Great posts! I was just getting ready to post some of the same questions. Any way I have two questions. If you upgrade headlight bulbs are there two different bulb part numbers that I would need aaand what type of bulb would I need to increase brightness for my stock fog lamps. I would prefer a yellow bulb since we have a lot of fog during the spring in North Carolina.

The oem headlight housings take # 9007 bulbs. I'm not sure on the fog lights though.
