I had a very similar problem with mine and tracked it back to a bad wheel hub / bearing assembly. When driving in 2WD everything felt fine. When I popped into 4WD and drove the truck had a slight "shimmey" that was more pronounced when I was slowing down / braking. Also I had difficulty getting it to pop out of 4WD unless I backed up a few feet.

Changed out the wheel hubs (right side had some play in it, left felt fine but I swapped it anyways) and everything went back to being smooth again.

yes its only when its in 4WD. i know that this summer im probably gunna have to do the roaters and pads but in 4WD its a totally different shake. it is kinda like a shimey. from what i can tell it doesnt have any problem getting out of 4WD. how much did this cost you? did you do it yourself? Have you had any problems with the blower doors, switching from the head position or feet position?

Jack up the front end and try to move the wheels up down / side to side and feel for play. There shouldn't be any. If there is, investigate it further looking closely at ball joints and wheel hubs. Also look closely at your front drive shafts (going from the diff to the hubs) looking at the boots for signs of damage. Make sure your front diff has oil in it (pull the rubber fill plug and the level should be just at the bottom of the hole).

Like I said, I chased mine for awhile until I found the wheel hub bearing, and the amount of play wasn't much. Hubs were ~100 each (I did both sides when I found one bad) and total time was about 4 hours.

I haven't had problems with the blower doors, but do a search on this site and I'm sure you'll find a lot of information on them. They seem to be the cause of some problems.

Not a hard job if you get all the fasteners out OK. Hit them with PB Blaster or similar beforehand, have a good set of wrenches, sockets, & a breaker bar handy.
