Default Odd Vibration while accelerating

OK, so i have a 99 durango 5.2. while driving between 50 & 60 mph i have a slight vibration when i accelerate slowly. this only happens when the od is on. if i turn the overdrive off this don't happen. when the cruise is on and it calls for more power to go up a small incline it vibrates slightly like the tranny is slipping but there is not any jerking when this happens. and when accelerating a little more aggresively, the vibration is not there. only when accelerating slow and gradually. anyone? i took it to a mechanic but it is a ford dealership that has two garages, one for fords and the other one that does repairs on other makes and models. they say that they couldn't find anything wrong via code or anything that it must be internal. just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and can help?

Could be a bad U-joint on the rear main drive shaft.
