Post 2002 Durango Brake Light Question

Here's the problem: My left brake light does not function, turn on when brake pedal is depressed, unless I have turned on my headlamps. I have checked my fuses and they are good and I have changed the bulb. The other two brake lights work normally. Does anyone know if the brake switch on the brake pedal have individual wires going to each side of the vehicle? If it doesn't, could the most likely cause be the splice that connects it to the right side be the culprit? Any help would be appreciated.

No the brake switch is separate. It switches into separate lights in the CTM, however I think the third brake light is illuminated by the switch..

Check the bulb or the bulb harness.
