Catalytic Converter
Just wondering if anybody would know that if the exhust was cut off in front of the Catalytic Converter if it would make ya D start an run just for couple seconds the dies out,, An will do that all day long,,,
Ok logikfive I didn't think it would but thought I would just ask,, An Adukart I am trying,,lol,, How can ya brake a security code on one,,, I have tryed with locking an unlocking the doors an all,,, I had to replace my ECM or PCM the one on the passenger side fender,, All the #'s match up an was the same D that I have an is use but good,, Everything working great but it will only start an run for a couple seconds then dies,, It will do this all day long,, I been told that I will have to get the ECM program to my Vin #'s,,,, I just didn't think I would have to do that if it will start an run,,,,,,, But I guess there is one way to find out,,,
Like i told you before... you swapped PCM's and the current one does not have the correct VIN programmed into it. The PCM and the CTM have 2 different VIN's so when the communicate together there showing a mismatch and the PCM is telling the truck to shutdown.. you need to just get the PCM programed there's no way around it. That's why i told you if you where going to buy one it be best to find a seller that asked for your VIN and programed it for you.. now, until the PCM has the correct VIN in it there is gonna be a whole lot not working right ... plus the dealer is probably gonna charge you more than you paid for the part to program it...
