Unhappy Catalytic Converter

Just wondering if anybody would know that if the exhust was cut off in front of the Catalytic Converter if it would make ya D start an run just for couple seconds the dies out,, An will do that all day long,,,

Should have nothing to do with it.

Sounds like a security issue to me, however.

Ok logikfive I didn't think it would but thought I would just ask,, An Adukart I am trying,,lol,, How can ya brake a security code on one,,, I have tryed with locking an unlocking the doors an all,,, I had to replace my ECM or PCM the one on the passenger side fender,, All the #'s match up an was the same D that I have an is use but good,, Everything working great but it will only start an run for a couple seconds then dies,, It will do this all day long,, I been told that I will have to get the ECM program to my Vin #'s,,,, I just didn't think I would have to do that if it will start an run,,,,,,, But I guess there is one way to find out,,,

My "spare" key will do this to me since its not programmed to the truck. Look on the dash for the security light to flash when it dies. Thats what mine does.

Like i told you before... you swapped PCM's and the current one does not have the correct VIN programmed into it. The PCM and the CTM have 2 different VIN's so when the communicate together there showing a mismatch and the PCM is telling the truck to shutdown.. you need to just get the PCM programed there's no way around it. That's why i told you if you where going to buy one it be best to find a seller that asked for your VIN and programed it for you.. now, until the PCM has the correct VIN in it there is gonna be a whole lot not working right ... plus the dealer is probably gonna charge you more than you paid for the part to program it...
