Have a 99 Durango SLT 5.2L I bought used 4 weeks ago. It started acting up last week with stalling intermittently. I took it in to the dealer and they said the PCM needs replacing. The repair bill is $958 (parts, labor, diagnostic fee and a new battery). They want over $600 for a new PCM.
I have replaced these things in other cars and know they are simple to install. The key is finding someone selling one. Anyone know of any places to buy them? Also, if I buy from someone other than Dodge, do they have to be reprogrammed/flashed at the dealer, or is it a plug-n-play purchase/install?

the dealer would be the best place but you can try scrap yards but trying to find a pcm with all the options exactlly like you have will be difficult. it will be plug and play if you find the correct one try scrap busters.com
