I followed the directions to the letter, even got on their web site. Still can't seem to get the door opening to open my Lift Master Door. I 'm pretty sure it has rolling codes. So I followed the directioins on how to do that, but it still won't open my door. Are they THAT fussy to program? I usually have no problems programing my VCR, so I'm not dumb or anything. Any advise would be helpfull. Would like to be able to use the system.

Just got a new one off Ebay, only thing I can suggest is that is the opener the right model? i followed directions to a tee. worked for me.

My 2002 SLT (bought new) opener never worked, even had the dealer try it and he could not get it to work. I have a common make garage door opener also. Oh well, just not worth the time or fight.

 

This may be a dumb question and if it is please forgive me, but...

Have you contacted Lift Master to see if they've tested their codes with the built in openers on cars? Maybe they can tell you some secrets or give you some advise?
