Possibly the IAC is dirty or needs replaced. I had the same symptoms when I replaced mine. I would still address the battery and wires first though.

+1 and the rest of the suggestions were spot on. These probs are pretty common on any vehicle and i always check battery connections first...dont know how many times ive had friends cars turn off or not start due to loose connections.

We have the factory key & how do you reset the Securty mikeismadness? I'm pretty sure we need to reset the Security. The battery cables & wires are fine, just the Security light stays on & blinks repeatedly.

I have a keyfob, so I read a little into on google and it said to unlock the vehicle and lock the vehicle 3 times, then lock it once more with the fob, then unlock it by using the key in the door and it worked for me. Now if u dont have a keyfob, I would probably try locking the doors with the switch inside the truck and unlock the door with the key.

One other possibly option is unhook the negative battery terminal then go inside your vehice and hold the key in the start position for 30 seconds, turn it off, take the key out and reconnect the negative terminal and try starting. That would be called resetting the PCM. Good luck :-)

The Security light still stays on & we finally got someone to come look at it & lucky for me he didn't have his CarMD Diagnostic tool with him & he says it's probably the Fuel injector. Doesn't pump gas I guess, but if you's have any other suggestions or think he's right please feel free to let me know what you think =) thanks.

i believe that the security system shuts off power to the fuel pump in order to disable the vehicle, im willing to bet the issue is with your security system

I think the security will also cut ignition also, at least it felt like it did on mine. Here is how I reset my alarm after breaking into my truck:
1) Pull off the negative cable from the battery for 5 min.
2) While the battery is disconnected manually lock all the doors.
3) Reconnect the battery.
4) Then unlock the drivers door with the key, not the key fob.
You should be good to go, if this doesn't work the dealer may have to reprogram the security.
