oil pressure gauge drops

Default oil pressure gauge drops

the oil pressure gauge drops to 0 when stopped, returns to normal when driving. oil is full.
please advise! THANK YOU!

I have the same issue as well. I drive a 2001 4.7 'Rango SLT.

I would've waited for the OP to fix the problem or start a different thread, but that's just me...........

Apologies, I saw that the OP had posted 3 hrs ago and had incomplete information in the OP. The 2nd post was clarification on the OP. I had surmised that (for the "google-ability" of the thread) it would be best not to create another thread since the issues appear to be similar.

Nurseswim, still waiting on your response on what engine you have on your vehicle.

Drkveene, replace the oil pressure switch and the PCV valve and the problem should go away, if not we will go from there.

No apologies needed that was my opinion and quite frankly had nothing to do with the thread, but yes PCV and pressure switch. Hopefully the OP gets back.
