+1 on straight pipes sounding bad shrp. If you really want to (and the law allows you to), the best sound I've found (which is what I had on my Durango, also had the best performance gain) is remove the CAT, put a straight pipe in where the CAT was the put a Flowmaster 40 muffler going to a single out.
If you want more sound then you can do a dual exit setup, but for performance sake the single is your best bet. The straight pipe has a horrible drone to it whether your at idle, doing 30 in the city, or doing 75 on the freeway.
Like shrp said what exactly do you mean harness? Are you referring to adding on the optional seat heater found in the R/T model? If you don't want that just either get seats out of a junker or order leather covers from Katzkin.

Also, make sure before you make the decision of welding a pipe in there, check with your local laws because believe it or not there are still noise ordinances out there that prevent people from doing this kind of thing...
Also, look at the downside to running a straight pipe, you will have very minimal if any back pressure to your exhaust and this wreaks havoc on fuel injected engines.
Take it from all of us, we've all seen it and had to shake our heads at the sight and sound of straight pipes, not to mention save us some sleep, just put a Flowmaster on it.
