Default Infinity Head Unit Wattage Per Channel?

I have what I think is a Infinity head unit Cd/Cassette in my 99 SLT Durango w the 4 door 2 tweeter layout.I know the speakers at least are Infinity. Two speakers are blown so I'm ordering aftermarket Pioneer/ Kenwood for front n back.

Anyone know how many watts are sent out per speaker?

It is the amplifier that amplifies the signal from the head unit, not the head unit sending out amperage in the Infinity setup. The amplifier sends out 25 watts RMS and 60 watts MAX @ 2ohm impedance.

Basically, any speaker out there on the market is going to out perform the stock speakers in wattage, so you should be fine with anything and everything that's not dirt cheap.

But I would make sure it's a 2 ohm speaker.

Thank You. I had already ordered them from Crutchfield prior to finding out that its a 2 ohm system. I was told today by a tech a Crutchfield that the tweeter is 4 ohm and the doors are 2 ohm.
he said I would be okay w the 4 ohm speakers I ordered and assured me!
So will see.....

When is the amplifer located in my 99 durango and can it be swapped out for a more powerful one either by Infinity or aftermarket while still keeping the original head unit?

Also when you take off the drivers door panel how do you remove the side mirror adjustment ****?

When? I think you mean where?

It is located behind the passenger side kick panel. But to do this you basically need to remove the entire amp and stereo and re-plumb the system.
