Default My D down for the count. :(

Well it seems my D took a pretty hard hit yesterday. She is gonna be down for the count...well for about a month or so while I do the repairs. I was hit head on by some moron playing on his phone with no insurance yesterday. Good news is that its mostly body damage. The radiator and fan are shot. But the engine is still good and so is all the steering and suspension stuff. The bends are in the top portion of the frame and not the big major frame on the bottom. Thanks god! Lol. My buddy is gonna help me straighten the frame back up, he works at a collision shop. Its a good thing to know people huh? I'll probably be buying the hood, bumper, and fender from the local Certifit store. Anyone suggest any fan upgrades? I notice these first gens can get pretty hot under the hood. One time the truck sat off overnight for 12 hours and was still warm the next morning. Or cooling system upgrades to help her run cooler? Now is the time right? :P

Here she is...

Glad to see you're ok. I've been hit my morons on a cell phone before too and it is really aggravating, especially when they keep talking on the phone after they get out of the car

As for the cooling upgrade I saw someone mention swapping in an electric fan from the viper. Iirc its gonna run you between $150 and $200

WoW!
Are you going to take him to cort on it?!

I've heard/seen many different things on cooling upgrades. Everything from dual electric fans to heat extractors...its all about how much money you have for it all.

These things are like tanks! How fast were you two going?

I like +10 to me being safe. HAHA! j/k. Ya, it was a pretty hard hit. But my D took the damage well! Can't say the same thing about Fords... :P I thought about doing that. I have a less limited budget since I am taking my time to make sure everything goes right. Time to get outside and do the daily repair to the Ford so I have a truck in the meantime. Lol.

I was sitting still, him about 25 in a 30. I don't feel like going through the courts. He is getting some citations and getting his license revoked. That's good enough for me. Courts will cost me money, and I'd prefer to keep my money going into the D. I also don't want shops touching her. Lol. I'm **** about that.

Ouch! again glad u are ok!

In my one and hopefully only trip to MO i came across alot of mindless idiots so i know how you feel..

I was digging though my backup files last night and found a diagram for you trailer plug that would help you understand it better but, i'm sure now that is the least of your worries.

Well, i guess now all you can do is take you time and fix it right!

I would buy a radiator setup for a 2000+ durango with the factory electric fan on it. Then just buy a controller and temp probe to run it. You have to replace the radiator anyways.
