My 98 Durango refused to start the other day. Cranked, sputtered, ran briefly then died. Classic crank sensor symptoms. Replaced sensor, verified connector ref volts. Still no fuel. Upon further inspection, I found there was to fuel pump action at key on or while cranking. Checked fuel pump relay. Have 12v at relay, can make pump run by jumping terminals, but there is no signal from the PCM to trip the relay.
Ideas? Bad PCM? I've also herd of issues with the VTSS / CTIM preventing fuel pump relay grounding also, but do not know how to test. Also, does anyone know which pin on the PCM corresponds to the fuel pump relay? Thanks all!!

Could be the ground at the relay. You need to open the box and look for the issue. The service manual is downloadable. You could also try a different relay or it could be the VTSS.
