Accuracy of 2003 Service Manual
Hi All --
I've been lurking on the forums for quite a while. I just paid off my 2003 Durango Sport 4.7 last year and have (slowly) been making subtle repairs and upgrades here and there and this site has been a lifesaver in more ways than one.
I've finally got the bug to do the major repairs/upgrades myself since the cost of labor is ridiculous these days.
This time, I've been fixing the usual EVAP issues and noticed some incorrect diagrams in Emissions Section 25 of the 2003 Service Manual.
1. They show the EVAP Purge Solenoid as being up against the back of the engine compartment. Mine is located right next to the battery and PDC.
2. They show the LDP (NVLD) as to be underneath the battery box but it's not. Mine is in front of the EVAP cannister.
These are the two worst errors I've found. I know there was one more but it probably wasn't as serious.
I was just curious if the Sport models were slightly different than the base Durango model? Or could mine be a CA model?
Here's my VIN in case it helps: 1D4HS38N03F5xxxxx
I'm pretty sure I've narrowed mine down to the LDP (NVLD) -- since I've replaced just about everything else (except the LDP and cannister!)

There isn't a 2003 durango service manual that we here have. Now there is a 2003 Dakota service manual, and a 2002 Durango service manual.
That said, your 2003 Durango, of course not everything is going to be perfect, but the little things shouldn't matter anyway. Just replace all the vacuum lines, and gas cap and see if the issue resolves it's self.
