Where do you get your pan at? How often do you do that?

Unless you are having problems you shouldnt really need to access your filter/pan other than the recomended "sched" of maintenance. Im very very abusive to my d with towing/heat/etc, the first replace was from a dealer, the second time i replaced it with a hitech, third time stock again (sh*t breaks).

Any rubber gaskets, o-rings, or seals I replace I just use the oil I have at hand which will be the fluids I'm replacing.

I'm not stating anything about using the lubricant in which the gasket is being used to use to seal it, but instead I question the ligamentcy of which....Simply stating I don't know if the lubricant in which a person is designating the gasket to seal doesn't in fact decompose the gasket in which they are replacing.

So with that I always use Mobil One Fully Synthetic grease, or multi-grease complex, when seating rubber gaskets regardless of the intent designated. But that is my choice, and if something comes up that I don't know the fluid used I always read up on the MSDS sheets to ensure my analysts will work with the fluid I'm using...Blah Blah Blah.
