Default 2nd row center seat?

How do I remove this seat on a 2001 SLT? I have read a few posts regarding this row but I can't find out how to take this middle seat out to create a walk through space to the 3rd row.

Has anyone done this?

why not just fold the end seats all the way up to create the same thing?

Fold the top of the seat down with the black lever on the left side, then fold the bottom section up with the red lever on the right side of the seat.....

That is certainly a good idea. The problem I am faced with is two kids in car seats and one not in a car seat. The car seats won't fit properly on the 3rd row so I have to have the car seats on the 2nd row...both on the ends. My oldest crawls through the center fold down seat.

It is a pain and I have to keep a blanket down so that it doesn't get dirty.

looking at my truck, if you remove the middle section then the end sections will not have anything to lock into as the middle row and the latches share the same bracket..

+1 here as well.
I have a 98 and the whole 2nd row looks to share one huge braket. But I am sure you could pull the whole thing and cut the center out. Just make sure to leave the braket alone so you don't have a weak 2nd row incase of an accident.

Easier to buy a different car seat that will bolt into the 3rd row seat then fold up the singular rear seat to get in.
