Miles shouldn't matter. I have 153K and perfect comp in all cyl both wet and dry. But the only real reason to buy one is to run the 91 oct flash. You can run the 87 oct flash but as it says on the website "little to no improvements in power, tighter shifts..."

lol... this 91 octane gas is a real joke in this country. where I come from, 95 octane gas is the "regular" one. our premiums are 97 and 100 octane

anyway...

if it won't do much difference in 87 octane, than it's pointless for me I think...

Where do you come from!?
I dont even know of a street rig that would take 100oct! thats just shy of racing fuel!

It fits those who are looking to get just that extra umph and don't want to spend a crazy amount of money on a high comp NA build or a supercharger/turbo set up.
the difference in price of 87 vs 91 where I live would only be a couple of bucks per fill up so I cant wait to get my programmer!

I'm sure that's not the case. You're referring to the RON rating's number (which some other countries, especially in Europe, use), whereas in the US we use the AKI rating.

For example, a 100 rating on the RON scale is equal to an 88 on the AKI scale. The "standard" worldwide is between 85-88 AKI, or 90-100 RON/MON. Look up Wikipedia's table on octane ratings if need be, but I know my numbers here are correct.

Seems like there was a simple rating scale misunderstanding

For better comparison, pure ethanol is 99.15 octance via AKI, and 108.6 via RON.

To answer the question everyone is itching to know;

Yes the Hemifever tuner will help in giving you a few extra ponies. I don't think it can change the speedo tho. Super Chips, Hypertech and a few others state they can do it. The fact of the matter is Octane requirements as I see in these replies, and for that I will note;

No you do not "NEED" 91+ octane to run a tuner modification, as per this date. Most come with 3 levels of modification unless specified. They start with the 87 octane and move to the higher octane requirement after that. So with that you get;

1. Mileage tune and overall tune 87 octane..... The average use.
2. The premium tune, 91+ use for premium, performance street and strip.
3. Towing performance, 87+ octane for maximum towing mileage and performance.

BTW I have another question but I don't want to start another topic... I have my check engine light on and the problem is P0601. Now I'm gonna order a PCM from the internet but I need part number. I saw a number named "p/n" on the PCM module but half of it is small number, and the rest is big numbers which one should I write? all of them?

ok now, let's say I'll use the higher octane fuels (91+)

which one is the best? superchips, or the sct can?

I'm planning to order one of them nowadays.
