I have a superchips tuner and it was a good buy in my mind. There is a noticeable improvement in performance using the 91 Octane tune. I also like the change in the shift points in that tune. No complaints and no problems with it yet.

ok I got the SCT and ****ed up my car...

seriously, what the hell? First I tried to flash it to 93 tune setting, it failed. Then I tried going back to stock, it went all the way to 99% and said "verify failed"

now my car doesn't start anymore...

DA FUQ?

Well did you replace your PCM from the 601 code or did you just plug in your new tuner into a PCM that was bad and "hoped" it would work flawlessly?

I replaced it a few weeks ago... there was no error code at all when I tried to do that. The funny part is I can't reach them cuz it's weekend and it's also holiday on monday I think... I'll be without any assistance for 3 days

You will have to wait, that's why I don't install what is not needed unless I have to on long weekends.

Is your SCT tuner by Hughes? My SCT tuner Model 9550 came in today finally after waiting a few weeks. I set the programming at racing mode and holy crap, I can really feel the power alongside the F1 Airgap. But not sure if my mpg will suffer. Will play with this racing setting until my next fill up and then reprogram my 5.9 to street mode and see how much difference in power and mpg between the two.

Using the SCT tuner from Hughes is much easier than using the hypertech. It does not ask you all the stuff such as tires, blah blah, you already answered those questions to Hughes and they already programmed it in their tuner.

What I do like about their programming, they reprogrammed my OEM fan to come on much earlier. I would say around 170-180. Right around my 180 stat setting. With electric fan running early, it will cause my fan clutch to disengage much much sooner so I don't drive around with the roaring fan for the first couple miles. That should help my mpg somewhat as well.

Hughes SCT tuner gives you 3 modes with 2 of them being custom and the 3rd mode is usually where you have your stock settings saved. I can update my SCT tuner if I make additional mods in the future by submitting my changes to Hughes and then I can download the updated programming with my changes via internet.
