Default ball joints

So my salvage yard parts need ball joints. Are the upper and lower joints the same? What's a good greasable joint. Don't have the funds for moog currently.

Adam,

The uppers (if replaced by the recall) should have 3 bolts that hold it on and are generally a piece of cake to replace...

The lowers are pressed on and you will either need to pay a machine shop to press them for you or buy the kit from harbor freight....

Like everything else on or trucks a good penetrating oil is your best friend.. the lowers can be a bear to break depending on how long they been in there. If you have access to a air impact driver, that can quickly become your friend too...

Here is a kit that gives you everything you need for the front end...

I took a grinder to the head of the rivets then drilled them as deep as i could go and then hammered and punch the rest of it out the uppers was real easy as far as gettin the rivets out but the lowers was a major pain
