1999 5.9 Durango has 186,000 .. I bought it at a junk yard so far i have put 2 doors on it.. upper and lower ball joints, Filter and flush transmission, new heater core , ac condenser, tires. I really need to fix the plenum gasket. I am not sure how someone could afford gas for 400,000 miles in one of these things

My 2001 has about 140,000 miles. It's been very reliable. Sure, I did the recall stuff. Main maintenance expense is just changing fluids, filters, plugs, that kind of thing. In fact, I just changed the original battery last year - that's right: 10 years on a battery!
Having said all that, there have been a few problems with the HVAC. The rear temperature control door broke, which I fixed. The front defroster is intermittent (won't always direct air to the defrost vent). I haven't been able to completely fix this, but I know how to persuade it to operate, so it's really just an annoyance (and on my to do list).
Biggest problem: Last year the front transmission seal started leaking. I don't recall having a problem like that on any other vehicle - ever. I had the tranny pulled and all seals replaced, had them adjust bands (very little to no adjustment needed) asked them how much clutch material / metal was in the bottom of the tranny pan / magnet: they said almost none. They also replaced the PRNDL switch, which apparently looked to be starting to leak.
Everything else is basically original. All accessories, etc. Everything works good. It's a fantastic rig. I think the next thing I'll have to do is a muffler, but I also need to do a brake inspection, but that's just routine.

My baby has 120K on it and runs fine... Only problem is that I learned every repair shop's location in this area and made close friends with them since I bought it I think I spent $2000 or smth to repair most of the things, but she's still not in perfect shape... I need to spend more. This bitch will cause me to go bankrupt... but no problem, I love her
