Default 2003 durango 4.7L with CEL code P1687

So today after I spent over $500 on parts to fix my truck, I started having more problems with it. I noticed that my rear wiper stopped working. Then I lost all speeds except the 2 fastest on my front wipers. I thought it was the relay but it wasnt. Then my service 4WD light came on. Then the check engine light came on. I took it to autozone to get scanned and it came up with code P1687. Then when the service 4WD came on i would lose all lights on the dash, the power door locks along with keyless would stop working. Then I lost headlights and the interior dome lights stayed on and I could not over ride them with the dimmer switch. I tried looking on both yahoo and google for some answers and did not find much. I am hoping that someone on here has had the same issue(s) that I am having and can help me out. I am a volunteer firefighter and never know when I am going to be called out for an emergency and need to get these issues resolved ASAP.

with all those electrical problems id lean towards the CTM being the cluprit, especially since they all seemed to come up at the same time.

the battery is only 2 years old deff not more than 3 years old. i had the batt and charging and starting systems checked not to long ago and everything was fine. i went down to the truck this morning and wiggled a few wires made sure that everything was connected and took it out for a test drive and it seemed to be fine. it had good power good pick up from a dead start. also did a couple of dash tests holding in the trip button and let it self test and no codes popped up
