Default electric fan confusion ?

Why dose the electric fan in 02 4.7L blow from engine compartment out to the grill ? Just put new radiator in, never noticed it ran that way before or did i miss something

I personally never heard of it working that way... perhaps the fan is installed/wired incorrectly?

the factory efan on the 4.7 pulls air through the radiator and into the engine bay it is mounted on the engine side of the radiator as a 'helper' fan, if yours is blowing it is installed or hooked up wrong.

Sounds like your wiring is backward or the fan is installed backward.

Thanks everyone , only fits one way , only plugs one way but i can feel air blowing out of the grill. Just tryin to keep this truck running good without going broke, last 6 months ball joints up&lower, wheel bearings, brakes&roters, and now radiator. If it wasent the coolest body style ever built i would have dump it a long time ago.

Just because it only plugs in one way don't prove 100% that the wires going into that plug and in there right destinations... just saying

Maybe the plug wires on the fan harness were incorrectly installed backward, it happens ya know.

Is this even a OEM fan or a aftermarket replacement?
