I dont havea spare or anything and im not really sure what to do to get another one. Do I have to take my title to a dealer or something like that? Thats the only thing i can think of.

 

you should be able to get a new one made by a dealer if you take your VIN and proof of ownership with you

 

Correct but, it depends on the year... i believe its after 12 years? your SOL with the dealer..

When my cousin lost the keys to his 98 ram i took him to 3 dealers and none could help him.. we ended up buying a new lock cylinder (about 80 bucks) then called a locksmith to get us in the truck... while he was there he keyed the doors to work with the new lock cylinder key...
