Default 2000 Durango 4 wheel drv lever

Hey guys, today while coming back from work, my hand by accident went on the floor lever that puts the 2000 Rango from 2 to 4 wheel drive high and low, neutral etc.
To my surprise, the level moved loose...
Of course the regular shifter works/worked fine and I got home.
When under the truck I noticed that what I would think is a small linkage
between the bottom of the floor shifter and the lever coming out of the
transfer case, is missing...
Is that something that I can get, install on my own easy?
Is there a part # or picture of said rod that's missing in my case that anyone can provide?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Anthony V.

your missing the rod??

Your only option may be visiting a salvage yard... there should be 2 bolts that hold the linkage on.. i dont know your skill level but for most people it should be fairly easy to fix.

+1 on the salvage yard.

Your other option would be to machine a new one, which I've seen done and it turned out well.

btw Old_School I just noticed your fuelly thing says 33.1 MPG. Holy Sheet!

Default transfer case to lever, rod missing...

hey guys thanks, it's funny after i put this note out, by mistake i found the notes from a same/similar thing posted a bit back with a picture and
drawing of how to make said rod. of course that one was for a different year/model but sounds as is should be the same setup.
which is exactly what i need. so tomorrow since off, i'll crawl under again take measurements and see if i can make me one....if not i'll have to buy one. which is not a biggy just time consuming etc...
thank you all,
Anthony V.
