Here they are, hope they work as you can see the tranny cooler has 2 long brackets that bolt to the radiator, and the brackets are rivited to the cooler.

Thats interesting... the FSM states that the cooler is located on the return line (dia. shows the bottom as return) and the pics here show it as hooked to the pressure line.

yah so if the bottom line is the return then the way it was hooked up was the fluid goes through the aux tranny cooler and then the radiator...makes more sence to be the other way around but I guess Dodge did that way for a reason.

Oldschool. how do you average 33.1 mpg on your durango?

I have a really special motor

fuelly is calculated by FULL fill ups from empty, when you do a partial fillup it throws off the average MPG.

Accually it makes sense that its hooked up that way... the hot fluid coming from the trans is hit first with the fresh cold air coming in form the grill and also has some added cooling(not much)as it goes thought the a/c condenser then, is hit again with the radiator cooler that is getting hit by the slightly heated air from the radiator.. follow me?

or think of it this way if you burned you hand(boiling trans fluid) would you wanna put it in a bucket of cool water(aux cooler) or a bucket of boiling hot water(radiator with hot antifreeze in it too)?

It actually works better the other way around old_school. You should have it go through the radiator and then through the second auxillary cooler. It can actually warm up more by going back through the radiator.

Thats what I was thinking adukart, I couldnt really tell what oldschool was trying to say. And I think If I add a good quality universal transmission cooler to the return line then it will actually cool better than the original factory leaky setup haha especially if I can make the tranny cooler fit infront of the ac condenser to get MAX airflow, instead of sandwiched between the hot radiator and ac condenser.

Any good quality coolers that come to mind? I may just go into an auto parts store and have them grab me one that fits my D.

Adukart, your durango looks just like mine but a different color, does yours have the same tranny cooler set up that mine did?

I don't why the dealer couldn't find the part numbers. But go back to them with these mopar numbers, 4883713AB cooler, 48883709AA tube outlet, 4883710AA tube inlet, 4883711AA upper, and 4883712 lower. I got these off dealer connect.
