Default bad fuel pump?

ran out of gas the other day put gas in it today, went to start, and nothing. Fuel pump seems quieter then before so that'd be my first guess. However when trying to start, it drains a ton of battery power, even while boosting it haven't had any luck. any ideas?

Try going next to the tank and have someone turn the key to the "on" position, not starting the truck. See if you could hear the prime come on. If not, check your relay. Exchange it with your horn relay and try again and/or honk your horn to see if the relay is still good. If nothing, I would guess its your pump. Or if you have a pressure tester, that would work too.

Can Hear the primer fine, when next to the tank, but seems quieter then i remember when inside the truck. I'll give the relay a try now, and see what happens, then the pressure tester.

Any possibility its the battery? Like I said its not as loud as i remember so thinking its maybe underpowered if thats at all possible? lol

You can have the battery load tested to see if its bad but i have seen many times the test come back good battery and there bad... how old is your battery?? Personally anything over 4 year i replace even though i have heard some people getting longer out of it.. generally a bad battery causes havic on these trucks in more than one issue.

You can also test it with a mutimeter.. you should have and hold 12.5v or greater when the truck is off and around 13.8 when the truck is started. also make sure you terminals are clean and snug on the battery that can cause it not to get the current needed out of it.

Battery turned out to be fine. Tested pressure, also fine. So thankfully i wont have to drop the tank. Check engine light just came on seems a bit delayed, but after doing some research thinking it could be the crankshaft position sensor? Going to scan it tomorrow and see what happens.

Also, for this loose connector, never realized it there when i bought the truck. Looks fairly clean as if it just came disconnected, but don't see anywhere it could go.

In the top picture, it looks like the other part of the connection is right below it!

check your brake fluid reservoir for a connector there is supposed to be a fluid level sensor in there and i dont see one on ours, mine looks a little bit different but is right there in that area so that is what my money would be on.
