Default Shut Off Mode

I was recentley packed and ready to go in my 2004 Dodge Durabgo. I was going to gas it up for the 2hr ride in the morning only to find that the vehicle would not start (after I fooled around with the key fobs). It was in shut down mode and was not even turning. I spent the beeter part of the night trying to make it work but no luck. The next day the dealer could not figure out the problem either. So as a last resort he unhooked the battery for 5 minutes and when he hooked it up again presto the vehicle started. This was after 4 hrs at the dealer. So if you get stuck its ok to reset the vehicle by unhooking the battery.

Default RE: Shut Off Mode

what ever dealer you went to did not no what they were doing. there is a problem with these front control modules locking up. there is a flash update (reprogram) for the FCM.
