Ok I'm halfway there on my 2000 Durango 4.7
The only issue I can see is that the homebrew calls for a 9/16 hole in the 90^ elbow for the Map sensor. My 2000 D didn't have the Map sensor attached to the original top hat. So I didn't drill the hole and left the map sensor where it was. Took this Bad Boy for a spin and Wow. Noticeable power. FastMan TB next week and I'm good to go.

I still haven't been able to route my intake pipe out the front of the vehicle. Just can't figure out a way to make room. Would it make any difference if I removed the factory pipe that comes out the front of the box? Can I just run it without an intake pipe?

you could remove the elbow and run it just fine, you would get colder air than stock and less restriction, but not the coldest possible air

I ran into the same issue and had to get a little creative.... One day i was trolling thru the junkyard and came across a 1st gen Dakota. I noticed that the OEM air hat pipe was round on one end and square on the other. I picked it up and thought to myself, ill make it work somehow. The square end gave me enough clearance to get it through the front.
