Default Transfer case rebuild

I recently replaced the fluid in my transfer case on my 1999 durango 5.2 and it was leaking a little before but with the synthetic blend i put in its leaking a bit more now. Since the gaskets need to be replaced anyway i figured while its out and apart i might as well get the full rebuild kit for it. And considering it had never been serviced in its 184000 miles until now. Has anybody rebuilt the transfer case? Im studying Automotive technology and NDSCS so i have the tools to do it and enough common sense to figure it out.

If you are just resealing the case, its a piece of cake. All you need is the gray RTV and the seals. And when you have it apart, clean the filter screen and the pick up tube. Oh yes i have reseal and overhauled the transfer case's.

If its a 231hd you can up grade bearings to 241 with 6 planetary vs 4. There is 4:1 kit. If you want super low.

I have the 231hd and I was think that while it's going to be apart I'll just do the full rebuild. Seals, bearings, and chain (if needed). I've found the kits and they're about $100.
