Default Biggest tires I can fit on my 02 SXT 2wd.....

You guys, and this forum rules! Alright...I got my 02 SXT 2-wheel drive..and I love it. Right now I have 245/75 16's on her...stock rims of coarse. Looking at like a 265/75 R16....want to fill up those wheel wells more. Right now with the current tire, it only rubs a little bit when backing up and turning....no issue with regular driving in a forward motion. Would the 265/75 tire be too much? Again it's the 2wd..so i know I don't have the lift or clearance of the 4wd models...your input would be appreciated!

the size you want is a standard size on the 4x4s and is tight even there, on the 2wd models i would expect it to rub at a very minimum when the wheels are turned to full lock, if the tires you have are already rubbing on occasion the bigger tires WILL be worse

a 265/75r16 tire in inches is 31.6x10.4r16. The biggest tire you could get stock on a 4x4 (with 15" rims) was 31x10.5r15 (15 and 16 are rim sizes respectively and don't mess with the tires dimensions when comparing them in inches only).

Chances are you will get more rubbing on a 2wd
