Default Turn Signal issue-2000 Durango

My left turn signal is not working correct on 2000 durango. It works when the headlights are not on but will not work when they they are on. When they are on the the left turn signal indicator on dash stays on solid. When i say it works when the headlights are off I mean it does blink but also noticed the right ones are blinking as well very dimly when left is selected. Right blinkers work correct at all times, hazards work correct. I have already changed all bulbs out, no effect.

Check to make sure ALL the fuses are good. I had a the fuse to my parklamps go out once and everytime i would turn on my headlight the high beam light would be on when they where on low beam.. switch it to high and the light would go out...

Also check for a loose or dirty ground somewhere... good luck.

I have also seen if you have a burnt out bulb, that it just stays on solid, or clicks really fast

check your individual bulbs. I had a bulb with an internal problem where the terminals for the parking light and the turn signal were touching and it caused the turn signal to stay on solid while the parking lights were on

Thanks for the replys, I have checked all bulbs and replaced all bulbs. Also, grounds appear ok, it must be a short but I havent found it yet.

I had an issue with a different mopar, but same socket type. The housing for the socket itself was cracked around the little lip. Took me a while to find that crack. Couldn't see it without a flashlight and looking closely. Temporarily glued it until a new lamp assembly came.
Or what happens a lot is those 3 metal contacts around the lamp socket(that holds the bulb) might need to be bent up a little to make proper contact. Or it might be something totally different lol

you actually gave me another idea talking about the bulb holders that the op can try.

on the front all of the bulb holders for the turn signals will can be disconnected from the wiring harness. (I believe you slide the red pin out and the squeeze and pull) and then you can take the connector off for the tail lights.

Once you do that you can see if you're still having problems. (the indicator on the dash will flash a lot faster since you'll have all the bulbs disconnected.) If things seems to be working properly at this point you can start plugging bulb holders back into their sockets hopefully find the problem.

however, before you disconnect all of the bulb sockets on the front I think you should take the tail lights off first and take a look at them. I don't know if you're familiar with how the bulb holders work, but basically they have little metal contacts on the edge of them that touch other metal contacts in the tail light housing when you twist them in. Sometimes these metal contacts get hot from the bulbs and can warp. It's possible that the turn signal contact could be shorted to the tail light contact or something like that.

Anyway, so give that a try and see if you can find anything out.
