Question Mystery Switch! Do y'all Know?

Ok sooo I have yet to fix my front spindle & brakes, wheels & tires, window arm & motor, yall get my point. Anyways while (carefully) ripping poorly done ghetto stereo wires from under the dash. And prepping for a Cb Radio, and better deck unit....
I seen and was reminded of this on/off switch slighty under the dash by the "butt-tray". WHAT IS (the switch) IT FOR?! Im sticking with the oem fog-lights cause thats they dont have bulbs, or it maybe part of the premium stereo that was ripped out by previous neglectful owners..... Please help me before I re-wire my whole dash by next year, please.

2000 Dodge Durango SLT (?PLUS?) RWD

that is something that the previous owner put in, i have never seen a switch there, you will have to trace the wires to figure out where it goes to, the OEM fog lights are controlled by a switch near the headlight plunger switch

"Add-On-Switch" was my last guess. I made the time to take apart the bottom half of the dash. Its a FM MODULATOR WITH ANTENNA ADAPTER, for Bluetooth, subwoofer/amps, any guess is good...?? Yall gemme some ideas to use it please... As for the fog lights, theres no switch for it, just regular light switch. Guess I gotta buy fog light bulbs, like I dont want....I do have a couple pics....

WHen I bought my 2001, the AM radio reception was nonexistent, and the FM wasn't much better. I knew it had a DVD player system in it, but never thought anything connecting the 2. There's a small silver toggle switch way down on the dash by the driver's side right leg area, it was turned on, I turned it off and the radio worked great, back on again and it sucked. Turns out theres an FM modulator to play the DVD sound over the stereo in addition to the wireless headphones it has. Saved me taking the dash apart to try and reconnect the antenna cable!

Now you just gotta find the input plug, it'll be a headphone port looking thing, in a round plastic thing about the diameter of the widest part of a Sharpie marker (the actual outside of the marker, not the writing tip), and then you can plug in your iPod or whatever and enjoy the new found feature of your truck's stereo! To use it, turn that switch on, tune the radio to whichever of the 2 stations the modulator is set on (88.7 or 89.1), plug in the music device and there you go.

if you have a **** style headlight switch the foglights should come on if you pull OUT on the switch, the piece that turns from off-park-lows, when you pull out that turns on the fogs
you are one of the 2000 guys who got the new style headlight switch

Ummmm wow, I feel so "SOS", Stuck On Stupid. But Thanks guys! As for the Fm Mod box, it may also explain why there is a pin style plug is the overhead compartment. Hope I didnt mess with wires dealing with the Fm Mod Box.... As for the fog lights, Id like to find the smoked/tinted lights to fit in the factory location....

The fogs on my 99 get turned on by pulling the headlight **** out. only the 98s had the old style round ***** (plunger) with a separate fog light button. The 99-03 ***** looked the same other than them changing the housing of the switch to be more square in 01 with the interior update.
